It’s about 456,565 recalled units in the US, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) announced on Wednesday.
The recall covers Bronco Sport SUV models built between 2022 and 2024, and Maverick models built between 2022 and 2023.
A poorly charged battery can cause some electrical accessories such as lights to not function properly, and can cause a loss of power in damaged vehicles.
Dealers will recalibrate all necessary modules to fix the problem free of charge in affected cars, NHTSA said.
